When the mechanic said I had a broken spindle, I wasn't sure if he was serious. A broken spindle? Next thing he will be telling me is my blinker fluid was running low! I had never heard of a spindle on a car before, but it turns out it is an important part of the suspension system. The hub for the wheel is attached to it and then it is attached to the upper or lower control arm. I guess now I know why that left front tire doesn't seem to point in the right direction!
